Great membership only beach

We have been going here every summer since 1990. This is a private island that requires a permit, one per boat. The permit is $100 per year although I have never seen anyone checking permits. It's a nice beach, a bit crowded down at the Southeast end and crowded all over on a good weekend day. Good anchorage offshore and able to pull your boat up to 30 feet from shore (3-5' of water). Yes there are shark teeth to be found as well as skate teeth, porpise teeth and various fossil bones and pieces of bones worn down by the wave action. The best time to look for teeth is after a storm and at low tide.

Jellyfish are dependent on the water salinity. Late July and August are typically months when they show up.

Great spot to visit on the boat, bring some chairs, towels and umbrellas. And of course beer. Always a good time. Oh, and we found a bunch of (small) sharks teeth... living up to it's name!

Nice Sandy Beach, tons of shark teeth!

Escape from the world and party you tail off with boaters!

There are trees on the island but there is no cover to speak of. Bring an umbrella or other cover of some type.

Don't come here because there are enough people who already do and it is already quite popular enough ! ;-)
